TBI= Traumatic Brain Injury

(TBI) is a leading cause of injury-related death and disability in the US. 

According to the CDC:

 In 2010, 2.5 million emergency department  visits, hospitalizations, or deaths were related to TBI, either alone or in combination with other injuries.

A concussion is a TBI, and needs to be treated as such.
